30 03 08 It is a bumper crop of pictures today, with a lot of excitement and 'first things' to boot. Since the discovery of crawling Martha hasn't wasted any time at all. Via hauling herself up on sofas and sidestepping along their length, she has begun pushing off and tottering into the great unknown over previously inconceivable distances. She loves her push cart which she uses to charge up and down the downstairs rooms. She is going to be a very keen walker and it is already quite hard to keep up with. Another big event was a visit to Leeds to the shoeshop for the fitting of her First Shoes, cor blimey what next. You will be very interested to know that she is size 3F. Also first swing, first proper snow, first easter chocolate button, first stairs... It was my (George's) birthday today and we went for a walk in Hardcastle Crags, Martha walked for a good portion of it and was so tired that she fell asleep at the table over dinner. It was quite amusing watching her attempt to eat bits of toast between dropping off. Larking around!
